OCR GCSE Physics Revision
OCR offers two GCSE Physics routes: Gateway (Physics A) and Twenty First Century (Physics B). Both cover the core science: matter, forces, electricity, magnetism, waves, energy and radioactivity. Both are assessed entirely through written papers at the end of the course.
This page lists every Physics topic in Recall. Each topic page works equally well for either OCR route, the underlying physics is identical, only the framing and question style differ. Pre-loaded notes mean you can generate flashcards or exam-style questions in a single click.
OCR examiners reward clear, structured explanations and accurate equation work with units. Practising extended and calculation questions on the topics below, and self-marking against the spec, is one of the highest-leverage things you can do.

OCR Physics FAQs
What's the difference between OCR Gateway and Twenty First Century Physics?+
Both are full OCR GCSE Physics qualifications, but they organise the same core content differently. Gateway (Physics A) is topic-by-topic; Twenty First Century (Physics B) is built around scientific issues and contexts. Pick the one your school follows, the underlying physics is the same.
How is OCR GCSE Physics examined?+
OCR GCSE Physics is assessed by two written papers at the end of the course, with no coursework. Both papers include questions on the practical activities specified in the syllabus.
What's the best way to revise for OCR Physics?+
Work through the topic list below using active recall, generate flashcards, self-test, then write extended and calculation answers from memory. Check them against the OCR specification statements to make sure you're using the wording examiners want.
